WENATCHEE, April 25, Frank Joseph Tarbert, 79, Wenatchee, died here last night. Born in Ohio, he moved to Spokane in 1880 and lived much of his life in the Spokane and Deer Park regions. He moved to Wenatchee 10 years ago.
He first lived on Wild Rose prairie near Spokane and during the Indian uprising in that area he and his mother were attacked by the Indians. He later helped build an Indian stockade for protection of the whites.
He was in the lumber business in Deer Park for many years.

Glen Albert Waldow, 69, 1661 Benedict Drive. San Leandro, former Oakland Jeweler, died Monday in a Castro Valley convalescent hospital.
Mr. Waldow had retired about four years ago from operation of his Jewelry store in Oakland.
A native of Lincoln, Neb., Mr. Waldow was a member of Brooklyn Lodge No 225 F. & A.M., Oakland Scottish Rite Bodies, Cecelia Shrine No. 3 0.W.S.J. and the Fruitvale Exchange Club.
The funeral will be at 1:30 p m. tomorrow at the New Colonial chapel, 2626 High St. Oakland, with Brooklyn Lodge No 225, officiating.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ella Waldo, 74, pioneer Holt county settler and school teacher, were held at Amelia last Sunday, afternoon. Mrs. Waldo died of a heart attack. Wednesday morning, September 2. at her home in that, village where she had lived since the death of her husband in 1929. She came to this county in 1885 and for a time taught school near her parents’ home 18 miles northeast of O’Neill.


Ella Florence Bishop daughter of John and Elizabeth Bishop was born in Winterset, Iowa, August 2, 18G8, and departed this life at her home in Amelia, Nebr., Sept 2, 1942, at the age of 74 years and one month. She came to Nebraska with her rents in 1884, at the age of 15. In 1885 her father settled on homestead in Holt county 18 miles northeast of O’Neill, where she taught school. She was united in marriage to Hiram E. Waldo at Minneola, Nebr., in Holt county on November 29, 1888. She lived in Nebraska most of her life, except for a few years when they lived near Sidney, Mont. To this union were born nine children. Her husband preceded' her in death at Sidney, Mont., in 1929; also, a daughter, Mrs. Bethel Lull of Poison, Mont in August-1927, and a son, Glen Waldo, of Colorado Springs, Colo.

LIBBY — Ray Waldo. 78, died Monday at his home in Libby of natural causes.
He was born Oct. 3. 1903. at Bartlett. Neb., to Hiram and Ella Waldo He was raised in Nebraska and in eastern Montana He married Jessie V. Lawrence on June 14, 1934, at Atkinson. Neb
He had worked throughout the western United States in construction as a carpenter He came to Libby in 1954 where he worked as a carpenter for the St. Regis Paper Co. until his retirement in 1968
He had been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the IOOF and the Carpenters and Joiners Union.
Survivors include his wife, Jessie, Libby; two sons, Dwayne, Sumner, Wash., and Bob, Colfax, Wash.; two daughters. Vera Tarbert. Ellensburg, Wash., and Rita Coon, Colfax; two sisters. Leone Kirschner. Seattle, and lone Lillie. Bonner Springs, Kan.,; and 19 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, DeVere, in 1940.
Funeral services will be 2 p m Friday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Libby with elders Ross Koehler and Bill Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the City of Libby Cemetery under the direction of Vial Funeral Home

LIBBY, Mont. — Funeral services for Ernest Spencer. 78. were conducted Thursday at Libby with the Rev. Hatch Frost of the Church of God officiating. Interment followed at the Libby Cemetery.
Spencer, a long time resident of the Libby area and a veteran sawyer of the J. Neils Lumber Co. died of s heart attack at his Libby home. He helped build the Lincoln Elementary School and the old high school at Libby. He retired from the J. Neils Co. in 1957 following 30 years of service.
His wife, Mable, died in 1983. Survivors include a daughter. Luceile Tarbert; three sons. Kenneth. Ralph and Leonard Spencer and a brother. Vern Spencer, all of Libby; 21 grandchildren and I great-grandchildren.

LIBBY — Luceile Tarbert, 66, died Monday at St. John Lutheran Hospital in Libby of an apparent heart attack
She was born April 14, 1917, at Libby to Ernest and Mable Spencer She was raised in Libby and received her education there. She married LeRov Tarbert on June 22, 1936, at Libby
She was employed as a switchboard operator for the General Telephone Co. for many years and was chief operator at the Libby office She later was transferred to the company's office in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, where she worked until retiring in 1981 She returned to Libbv in 1982
Survivors include her husband; one daughter. Thelma Bell. Sugar City, Idaho, four sons, Ernest, Libby. Donald, Ellensberg, Wash., Leonard. Thompson Falls, and Kimber, Copperas Cove, Texas, three brothers, Kenneth, Ralph and Leonard Spencer, all of Libby; 24 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p m at the Vial Funeral Home, Libby. Burial will follow in the City of Libby Cemetery.

LIBBY - Leroy "Roy” Tarbert, 85, died Thursday in Lewistown of natural causes.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Vial Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the City of Libby Cemetery.
Survivors are a daughter, Thelma Bell of Rexberg, Idaho; four sons, Ernest and Kim, both of Libby; Don Tarbert of Ellensberg, Wash.; Len Tarbert of Marion; a brother, Raymond "Hap" Tarbert of Missoula; 31 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
