DEATH:

2. The book "Stamford Town Records, Vol. 1, 1641-1723," transcribed and annotated by Paul R. Finch, NEHGS (Boston, 2011), p. 72: "Page 84 [1:70]" Thomas Roberts & Sarah Eliot maried 27:11:[16]58. (This date should be double-dated. It could be either 27 Jan. 1657/8 or 27 Jan. 1658/9, most likely the latter. The main transcribers did not address this problem. Huntington ("Stamford Registration," 86) recorded this date as "27, 11, 1658." The Barbour Collection (Stamford: 155), citing Stamford Town Records 1:74, reported this marriage as "11th mo. 27, [16]58." Jacobus (TAG 10:2 [Oct. 1933]:113) extracted it as "27:11:58." Also Huntington ("Stamford Registration," 86) reports an unnamed child of Thomas and Sarah (Elliot) Roberts as being born 25 years after their marriage on "Apr. 1, 1683." The Stamford Town Records contain no such birth record, nor anyone being born on this date.)"
