  • Notes
    • RESEARCH_NOTES:
      1. Relationship mentioned in the will of father John Warner filed 16 Jul 1614.

      2. An extremely valuable reference book on this family is "Thomas Sanford, the emigrant to New England; ancestry, life, and descendants, 1632-4," by Carlton E. Sanford (Tuttle Company: Rutland, Vermont, 1911). It contains a thorough examination and report of the English church records, lay subsidies, and probate for this family. The book is available online at several websites including the following: https://archive.org/details/thomassanfordemi01sanf/page/28/mode/2up.

      3. An excellent resource: Warner, Lucien C., "The descendants of Andrew Warner, (New Haven, Conn.: Tuttle, Morehouse & Taylor, 1919), available online at https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Thomas_Sanford%2C_the_emigrant_to_New_England%3B_ancestry%2C_life%2Cand_descendants%2C_1632-4. It contains the transcripts of the wills of all the early Warners and Purchases, which name and list children and grandchildren and were instrumental in building this family in this database.

      DEATH:
      1. Though not yet proven, he may have died between 1614 and 1627 when he is named in his father's 1614 will but not his mother's 1627 will. See their notes for transcripts of the wills. No children of Edward are named even though Mary names grandchildren from all of Edward's siblings.
