      MARRIAGE:
      1. The Brenchley parish records show two marriages of Richard Gammon and Mary Knell. One is 29 Jul 1647. The other is 21 Jan 1657. In the latter record, the father of Mary is identified as Roger Knell, which makes the second Mary the one who was chr. 11 Mar 1631/2. The only other Mary Knell who was in the parish who could be the first wife was the sister of Roger Knell who was chr. 21 Mar 1624 which makes one Mary the aunt of the other. The first wife was buried in Brenchley 21 Feb 1654/5. Richard's parents were most likely the Richard Gammon who died in the early 1650s in Brenchley and the woman identified as the wife of Richard Gammon who died in 1650.
