      “BAUDOUIN IV the-Bearded, Count/Marquis of Flanders, 987/988-1035, son and heir, born say 980-985 (minor in 988). He married OTGIVE (or OGIVE), daughter of Giselbert, Count of Vaudrevange/Wallerfangen (in Moselgau) [see Line E, Gen. 8 below for her parentage]. About 987 he was excommunicated for having abandoned his wife. They had one son, Baudouin (V) [Count/Marquis of Flanders]. In 1006 he invaded and took Valenciennes, but was driven out in 1007 by the emperor Heinrich II; he afterwards received Valenciennes as a fief from the emperor. His wife, Otgive, died 21 Feb. 1030. He married (2nd) ___, daughter of Richard II, Duke of Normandy. They had one daughter, Judith (wife of Tostig, Earl of Northumbria, and Welf I, Duke of Bavaria). BAUDOUIN IV, Count/Marquis of Flanders, died 29 (or 30) May 1035, and was buried in the Abbey of Saint-Pierre, Gand.
