In the period, 1129-71, Henry, Bishop of Winchester, confirmed the grant of Walkelin Briwerre of a hide of land, half at Michelmarsh and half at Awbridge, Hampshire; this charter was witnessed by William Briwerre and his sons, Richard and Thomas.
