“ARNULF (or ARNOUL) II the Young, Marquis of Flanders, 964/965-987/988, Lay-abbot of Saint-Bertin, son and heir, born about 961-962. He married SUZANNE (or ROZALA), daughter of Berengario II, King of Italy, by Willa, daughter of Boson, Count of Arles [see Line D, Gen. 6 below for her ancestry]. They had one son, Baldwin (IV) [Count/Marquis of Flanders], and one daughter, Mathilde. ARNULF II, Marquis of Flanders, died 23 (or 30) March 987-988, and was buried in the abbey of Saint-Pierre, Gand. His widow, Susanne, married (2nd) before 1 April 988 (date of charter) (as his 1st wife) ROBERT II, King of France (died 20 July 1031) [see FRANCE 2]. They had no issue, and were divorced in 992. In June 1003 Queen Suzanne and her son, Baudouin, made a grant to the Abbey of Saint-Pierre-au-Mont-Blandin in Gand. She died 13 Dec. 1003, and was buried in the church of the Abbey of Saint-Pierre-au-Mont-Blandin at Gand.

“BOSO, Count of Avignon, 911-931, Count of Arles, 926-931, Margrave of Tuscany, 931-936, younger son by his mother's 1st marriage. He married WILLA, conjectured to be a daughter of Rudolf I, King of Burgundy. They had four daughters, Bertha (wife of Boso, Count in Upper Burgundy, and Raymond, Count of Rouergue, Margrave of Septimania, Duke of Aquitaine), Willa, Richilda, and Gisela. BOSO conspired against his brother, Hugo, in 936, and was captured and imprisoned by him.

“BERENGARIO (or BERENGER) II, Margrave of Ivrea, about 928-950, King of Italy, 950-961, son and heir by his father's 1st marriage, probably born c.900. He married before 936 WILLA OF ARLES, daughter of Boso, Margrave of Tuscany, by Willa, said to have been daughter of Rudolf I, King of Burgundy [see Line C, Gen. 6 above]. They had three sons, Adalberto [joint King of Italy], Guido [Margrave of Ivrea], and Conrad [Margrave of Ivrea, Spoleto, and Camerino], and three daughters, Gerberga (wife of Aledram, Margrave of Monferrato), Gisela (or Gisele) (nun), and Suzanne (or Rozala). BERENGARIO II, King of Italy, died at Bamberg 4 August 966. His widow, Willa, entered a convent, and died as a nun at Bamberg after 963.
