“AUBREY, Chamberlain to King Louis VI of France, 1122-29. He married an unknown wife, ___. They had two sons, Aubrey [Count of Dammartin] and William. The date of his death is uncertain. In 1162 Amauri, Bishop of Senlis, attested in the presence of King Louis that Aubrey the Chamberlain and his son, Aubrey, Count of Dammartin, had confirmed to the Abbey of Chaalis all that the Abbey possessed in the county of Dammartin.
