OBITUARY:
1. "Ogden - Thelma Alberta Shupe, 82, of 1450 9th St., died Tuesday, Jan 17, 1989 at an Ogden nursing home of causes incident to age. She was born Dec. 8, 1906 in Ogden, a daughter of Peter Paul and Mary Ann Burnhope Petersen. She married Heber Victor Shupe on Feb. 20, 1939. He died July 14, 1979. She was reared and educated in Ogden, where she was a lifelong resident. She was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd for 60 years. Surviving are two sons and one daughter, Keith R. Shupe, Glen Elyn, Ill.; Warner Hansen, Sacramento, Calif.; Carole Nixon, Ogden; six grandchilden, Geoffery, Kelly, Shellie, Randi, Cody and Linda; three great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her loving brother, Carl Petersen, Modesto, Califr.; and many firends with wonderful memories of a giving and loving person. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Albert and Frank and one sister, Helen. Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, 2374 Grand Ave., with the Rev. Walter Ellingson officating. Family will meet friends at the Church on Friday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Interment, Ogden City Cemetery. Funeral directors, Lindquist & Sons Mortuary in Ogden."
