  RESEARCH_NOTES: 1. The actual image of the will and probate are viewable at this site on Ancestry.com. The image has also been attached in Family Search as a source. An abstract of the information: "John Kidney otherwise Kitney" of Debtling Mentions four sons: James, Samuel (and wife [no name]), John, and Thomas. No daughters or wife mentioned. Co-executors: Sons James and Samuel. Will dated 15 Apr 1792. Probated 10 Jun 1797. There is a burial for a John Kidney in the Detling parish records for 8 Oct 1769. There is only a name and a date with no additional information that would clarify if this was our John. On the other hand, this probate fits our John by naming all of the living sons of 1792. From parish records, we can see all the daughters (except Hannah) and the other sons are deceased by this date. Further research into the daughter Hannah will probably also confirm she was deceased by this date. Based on conformity, then the death date of John is not the one reported in 1769 and a better date would be between the will and probate dates.
