      Diadama Millard was m1) to Asher Conover (born c 1816[sic]) with whom she had three children: Van Rensselaer Conover (1816-1879), Samuel S. Conover (1818-1898), and William James Conover (1822-).
      In 1831, she married again, to Samuel Foster Millard. They lived in Michigan for a time (Samuel's father, Maxwell, and Samuel and Diadema's son, Alexius, are buried in Blood Cemetery, Clinton County, MI. (see http://www.willett.org/ovid/bloodcem.htm) before moving to Chicago. They had three sons: Jerome (1833-), Alexius (1837-), and Sylvester (1839-1905) who became a noted lawyer and lived in Highland Park, Lake County, IL and may have had a summer home in Lake Geneva, WI.
      Samuel F. Millard died in Plainwell, Allegan Co, MI on 27 Aug 1879 but his gravesite has not yet been located. Samuel also married Delilah Lemoin 30 June 1873 in Kalamazoo, MI. Family has not yet found divorce records for Samuel and Diadama. Sylvester Millard tried to find Samuel incompetent but the judge ruled in Samuel's favor.
