  RESEARCH_NOTES: 1. Some past FHL patrons entered the name of James, son of John James, Gent., being chr. 8 Jan 1615[/16]. The extractors and indexers took the same entry and made it out as "Sarah filia". The problem is the writing is almost totally faded and it is subject to interpretation. The image of the Ightham Parish Record can be see at: https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/TH-1951-23232-54694-91?cc=1952887&wc=M629-2M3:252597701,253143401,253145501. Being that there is a burial of a Sara James, dau. of John James, Gent., bur. 14 Aug 1618 in Ightham without a corresponding christening except for the 1615 entry, then this would indicate that it should be interpreted as Sarah.
