      4. I have on file a topographical map of the Bear River Valley and Tremonton area. It shows "Burnhope Springs" just east of Bothwell. Isaac Peak is on the map but not so named. In visiting the area, the local residents pointed out both features. Photos are on file. Both features are named after Isaac Burnhope. The Burnhopes lived in Bothwell.

      5. The obituary of Florence Ethel Burnhope, daughter of Isaac Burnhope, states that Mr. Burnhope is one of the well-known conductors on the Southern Pacific.

Conductor on the Southern Pacific Railroad until 1904. He was a well known musician in Bothwell and active in the Church. Elder in the Church.       4. "Helper Man's Father Dies at Price Following Illness. Isaac Burnhope, 79, died Thursday, Sept. 3, at Price following a short illness. He is the father or Don Burnhope, Helper. He had been visiting with his son here for the past several weeks and had spent some of that time at the Price hospital. He was a well-known musician of Bothwell, Box Elder county, and had been influential in organizing several bands in that area. He is survived by his wife, his son and two daughters; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services were Tuesday in the Bothwell LDS Chapel."       BAPTISM: Per Kenneth "D" Burnhope 28 Sep 2002: Family story is that Annie was baptized abt. 1881 in Bear River City, Weber, Utah but there are no FHL records supporting this. FHL film 26230, Ogden 4th Ward "Fast Sunday Blessing and Confirmation Records" does indicate Isaac and Annie Burnhope were in fact baptized on 10 Sep 1902 by H.H. Goddard and confirmed by Bishop E.T. Woodley. This may have been a rebaptism for Annie. Online Ordinance Index Batch # H000024, Source Call # 884058-884061 states baptism was 2 Jun 1902.

She notes in early Sept. 1917, her sister Marguerite at age 19 was called on an 18 month mission to the Northwestern States Mission with headquarters in Seattle, Washington. Their parents had not been married in the temple so they all went to the Salt Lake temple on 12 Sep 1917; the parents were endowed and then all were sealed together including the deceased daughter Florence.

She notes in early Sept. 1917, her sister Marguerite at age 19 was called on an 18 month mission to the Northwestern States Mission with headquarters in Seattle, Washington. Their parents had not been married in the temple so they all went to the Salt Lake temple on 12 Sep 1917; the parents were endowed and then all were sealed together including the deceased daughter Florence.
      Payne: There is no entry with the online Ordinance Index; however, per obituary: 8 Jun 1927 LOGAN - this may have been a civil marriage only and not a sealing since Mary was previously married. 24 Mar 2006 per Submission 34-4863, card 34-4105435-270.
