      3. FHL book 929.273-K727kf: "Knapp's N' Kin, The Ancestral Lines of Frederick H Knapp and Others," compiled by: Frederick H Knapp, Rt. #2, Box 438C, AB Hwy, Richland, Missouri, 65556; 1987; Revised/Updated 1991:
"Caleb Knapp, son of Joshua, and our third generation ancestor, was quite a prominent man. He was the Representative for Greenwich in the Connecticut General Assembly, 12 May 1715; appraiser of several estates between 1725 and 1741, including that of Benjamin Rundle and Samuel Peck. He was on the Town Tax List in 1694/5 for 39 pounds and again in 1697, for 39 pounds 10 shillings. He was called an Ensign in August of 1710, and Captain in 1719 at Greenwich. The Town Tax List for Greenwich, Connecticut listed Benjamin Knapp- 31 pounds; CALEB- 39 pounds 10 shillings; Joseph Knapp- 73 pounds; Joshua- 54 pounds and Timothy Knapp- 47 pounds 5 shillings, giving indication of having fair estates for that period of history. He was granted a parcel of land 23 Aug 1700 and deeded land to sons, Charles and Nathaniel on 25 Nov 1728; to son, Caleb, 26 Jun 1731; to son Timothy, 12 Dec 1749. All of his children were born in Greenwich, Connecticut. His will made 21 Jun 1750, mentions wife, Sarah (Rundle) Knapp, children: Timothy-Caleb-Charles-Nehemiah-Abigail- sons, Nathaniel and Nehemiah, executors. The inventory of his estate was made 26 Nov 1750 and his will was probated 4 Dec 1750. Our Caleb, signed a petition for an Episcopal Church at Stamford/Greenwich, Connecticut. He and brother, Joshua, were appointed to a committee to see that a Mr Morgan, 2d Society Minister, either got someone to run his mill and tend to his business of minister or be replaced by the last of September 1708 if he did not. Rev Morgan spent more time running his mill than he did looking after the spiritual needs of the people. They dismissed Rev Morgan as the settled minister and replaced him with another minister. Caleb, was 7 years, 4 months old at the death of his father. Greenwich Records say: "Caleb Knap, maryed unto Sarah Rundle Anno 1697, April ye 1 day." Our Caleb was a steadfast pillar of this early period of our history."

pg. 13: Caleb Knapp was granted a parcel of land in Greenwich Aug. 23, 1700. Nov. 25, 1728 he deeded land to his sons, Charles & Nathaniel. June 26, 1731 he deeded land to his son, Caleb. Dec. 12, 1749 he deeded land to his son, Timothy. Caleb was a brother to Joshua Knapp Jr. who was the father of John and Jacob Bundle's wives. It is possible Joshua Jr's dau Sarah married their brother, William Rundle. That possibility needs more research. There is controversial information regarding which Sarah Knapp was wife of William Rundle who was father of Amy Rundle who m. Caleb Knapp 4.
