      B. Patriarchal blessing given 7 Mar 1854: "A Patriarchal Blessing by William Cazier on the head of Hannah Gold Perkins, daughter of James and Ellen Gold born December 12th 1808 in Liverpool, Lancashire, England. Sister Hannah, In the name of Jesus Christ I lay my hands upon thy head and by the authority and Priesthood given me of the Lord to pronounce a Fathers blessing upon thee, thou art truly blessed of the Lord, my sister much more than thou can realize thou hast been preserved through many dangers, some is known to thyself, and in gathering with the Saints thou hast accomplished a great work which thou shalt realize greatly in time to come, thou art truly a daughter of Abraham and by birth a literal heir spoken of by the Prophets to all the blessings spoken of through Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Thy lineage is of Joseph that was sold into Egypt, and the blessings that he partook of through obedience shall be thy blessings inasmuch as he was tried and found faithful in all things, thou shalt be tried, but not above what thou art able to bear, and in connection with thy husband thou shalt have great power in the Priesthood. Thou shalt even converse with Angels and they shall converse with thee in thy mansion, and thou shall be protected, both by day and by night for the adversary will try thee, and prove thee not withstanding. Thy wisdom shall be able to detect him, and thou shalt rejoice exceedingly for thy heart shall be greatly enlarged, and thy mind expand and the desire of thy heart shall be fulfilled in both the living and the dead in the restoration, and thy hand shall be blest in all thy labors, and the comforts of life shall be with thee, at all times, and thy increase shall be exceeding great even many sons and daughters and they shall be mighty in Zion in bringing about the purposes of the Lord, thou shalt live long and see Zion built up to the joy of thy heart, and this generation come to naught, obtain part in the first resurrection and in the Celestial Kingdom and exaltation. These blessings are for thee my Sister In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen. Recorded by Wm. Fawcett."

      OBITUARY:
      1. "Hannah G. Perkins. A private telegram from St. George states that Mrs. Hannah B. Perkins, widow of the late Patriarch Wm. G. Perkins, died there at 11:50 last night. Mrs. Perkins was one of the 'old timers' of Salt Lake City, and was well and favorably known here. She moved with her husband to St. George in 1861 when that place was first settled, being among those first called to go there. Mrs. Perkins was a woman of refinement and education who gave up friends and luxury in England many years ago for the Gospel's sake. She came to Utah in early times and passed through many trials peculiar to those days, but her faith in and integrity to the Gospel principles were unwavering to the day of her death. She was engaged for many years as a worker in the St. George Temple, and only desisted when failing health prevented a continuance of such labors. The deceased was in her 86th year." Deseret News, Dec. 21, 1893.
