- RESEARCH_NOTES:
1. The burial records for Haydon Bridge church (FHL film 991796) has an entry which is probably the sons of this William:
-"12 May 1703, Jno., son of Wm. Muis of Haydon Bridge."
MARRIAGE:
1. First marriage. The marriage was duplicated in two parishes for reasons unknown:
-Haydon Bridge church (FHL film 991796): "1 Dec 1701, Wm. Muis and Mary Talor."
-Chollerton church (FHL film 252505): "24 Nov 1701, William Mews and mary Taylor of Haden bridge married."
2. Second marriage. The marriage records for Haydon Bridge church (FHL film 991796): "25 May 1724, Wm. Mewis and Mary Hayles." Surprisingly the same marriage is also recorded in the Warden church records, FHL film 1068615, as: "25 May 1724, William Mewes and Mary Hayles." Haydon Bridge was a dependent chapelry subservient to Warden parish and is probably the reason for the apparent duplication of recording the marriage.
