Notes |
- RESEARCH_NOTES:
1. Data from a copy captured of Peter Bruce Herzenberg's website of London, England, since relocated to South Africa (website is no longer functioning as of 7 Aug 2007). See more on his research and data in the notes of the earliest Herzenberg in this database. Source for this individual is HL for Leonardo Herzenberg. In regards to this individual:
HL shows Leo b. 1878 in Kurland, d. 1945, bur. Red Bank Cemetery, NJ, m. Lillian.
Peter also notes: "Leo - Brother of Edward above. Name consistent with father's sibling but recorded as the link."
2. Ancestry.com's "New York Passenger Lists, 1820-1957" shows a passenger Leo Herzenberg, traveling alone arriving 10 Sep 1913 on the ship Olympic, age 37, storekeeper and merchant, b. in Russia, Hebrew, last US residence was Waterbury, CT., mother is Mrs. Lena Herzenberg or Goldingen, Poland, Curland, Russia. The connection to Waterbury would suggest he may be the brother of Herman who resided there. The listing of Lena works against Amalie being the mother (Eleazar and Amalie Herzenberg of this database who we had previously believed to have been this person's parents, but since corrected.)
