      1. Email from Val Bray [mailto:valjoy.bray@yahoo.com.au], July 20, 2006: "Dear kerry, my 3xggf was Walter,a brother to your Cornelius I. I have been tracing the family in England (I live in Australia) and might have some information for you. The parents of Cornelius and Walter were Edmond and Ann Bartholomew who were married in Folkington parish on 21 Nov 1771. He is shown as ORSBOUND. Ann was bapt.there on 21 Sep 1750 (she died aged 80 in Arlington 5 Oct 1820). Her parents were John Bartholomew and Ann Kyd who were married in Folkington on 18 Oct 1747. Also bapt. there on 28 Mar 1773 to Robert (this is an error - should be Edmund as there are no other Osbornes in the village)and Ann Orsbound a daughter named Dinah. Dinah and Cornelius married a brother and sister - John and Sarah Coleman in Arlington whose parents were Thomas Coleman and Ann Bartholomew (a relation ?) who married on the 3 May 1771 in Hailsham. I have other information on this family if you would like it."

      2. Email from Val Bray [mailto:valjoy.bray@yahoo.com.au], Aug 2, 2006: FOLKINGTON-There are no other Kid / Kyd in the village so I think they moved on. There is a maybe with the Bartholomews. Burials show John, late clerk 18 Oct 1776 and Ann 8 Sep 1793.
