!BIOGRAPHY: Philipp Bausch went to Marlinberg College in Germany. He became a licensed Doctor in bonesetting. (He never practiced in America). In America he did some barber work and then he went farming. When the family came to America in 1867 they settled in Illinois near Taylor Ridge, Edgington and Reynolds. Later they lived in Wisconsin and in Iowa. They also lived at Leigh, NE. They homesteaded north of Atkinson, NE. Philipp signed his Homestead Papers in 1885. One Bausch brother is said to have crossed the ocean with them, but they didn't keep in touch and so we have no record of this brother or his dependants.
