      ii. Chancery Court, Vol. B54, pp. 318-325, David Wampler vs. the Heirs of Peter Wampler; proceedings dated 4 Sep 1802 to 5 Oct 1803, Maryland State Archives, Annapolis, MD.
      iii. US Censuses for 1820 for Somerset Co., PA and 1830, 1840, and 1850 for Armstrong Co., PA.
      iv. "Wampler Ancestors and Desendents (sic) in America" ed. by Mrs. Barbara (Smith) Wampler, Joliet, IL., 15 issues were published from 1977-1979.
      B. "In 1816, Daniel Wampler was a resident taxpayer in Shade Township, Somerset Co., PA, a millwright by trade. In 1820 and 1821 he was living in Jenner Township, Somerset County. In 1830 and 1840 he resided in Plumcreek Twp., Armstrong Co., PA, and in 1850 he lived in Cowanshannock Township, Armstrong Co. Before 1820, there is evidence of a Daniel Wampler living in Williamsburg, Blair Co., PA, and likely this is the Daniel Wampler of interest."

      i. David Wampler, b. ca. 1803, PA; d. Armstrong Co., PA.; md. Susannah Beer, b. ca. 1807, PA, sister of Jacob Beer who married David's sister Catherine Wampler; res. in 1850 at Cowanshannock Twp., Armstrong Co., PA. Had 4 children with cited book giving more detail on each. Had at least one son as a German Baptist Brethren minister.
      ii. Elizabeth Wampler, d. 1881, md. Joseph Spicher; res. in 1850 in Armstrong Co., PA.
      iii. Catherine Wampler, b. 1806, PA; d. 1888; md. Jacob Beer, b. 1803, PA, d. 1878, brother of Susannah Beer who married brother David Wampler. Had at least 8 children with some of the children involved in the German Baptist Brethren movement.
      iv. Mary Wampler, b. 1819, md. J. Wilt/Welt. Had at least 3 children.
