"Arthur Doe of Hollingbourne, Yeoman, will not dated My bodye to be buryed in the Church yarde of Hollingborne I give to my daughter Elizabeth 5s I give to my daughter Jone £40 to be paid her at 24 yeares of age £40 to my daughter Ealse at 24 yeares of age And my will is that my foresaid two daughters Jone Doe & Ealse shall have £10 apeece more paid them when they shall come to 30 yeares of age I give and bequeath unto my sonne Nicholas Doe and to his heires for ever my house wherein I doe now dwell and one other house that I have called by the name of Haggwell house with all my landes, Edifices and buildinges belonginge unto them with thappurtenances now lyeing and beinge within the parishe of hollingborne aforesaid soe that my sonne Nicholas & his heires doe paye unto my sonne Stephen Doe sixe score pounds of good and lawfull money of England when the foresaid Stephen Doe shall come to sixe and twentye yeeres of age or within three monthes after, at Hollingborne Church porche. And from his age of 22 yeeres the said Nicholas Doe in the meane tyme shall paye unto the said Stephen Doe £10 a yeare untyll he shall accomplish his age of 26 yeeres I make of this my last will Executors my well beloved wife Margaret Doe and my sonne Nicholas joint Executors to perform the same Witnesses: Henry Coulter, Henry Kingesnoth, Robert Balden (signed) Arthure Doe"
Note: Henry Kingesnoth married Elizabeth Doe in 1611 and is Arthur's son-in-law. Henry Coulter is his wife's brother.
