Some Ancestors and Descendants of Thomas Wells of Saybrook and Hebron, Connecticut, who had come from Dudley, Worcestershire, England in 1712. Supplementing: "The History and Genealogy of the Wells Family" by Philip L. Cobb, 1897"; compiled by John. L. Cobb, 1999, p. 80:
      "Solomon Wells, a son of Edmund and Weithia Ann (Goodrich) W. of Cambridge, NY, born 24 June 1788, probably in Cambridge, Wash. Co., NY, he married 15 Dec. 1812, Prot. Presby. Ch. Cambridge Village, NY, by the Rev. John Dunlap M.G., to Mary Ann Dunlap, sister of John L. and Peter C.D. and daughter of John and Catharine (Curtenius) D., then of Cambridge, and he, pastor of the above church there: Oct. 13, 1790 to Sept. 3, 1816; born 11 June 1793, bapt. 1 July 1793 by the Rev. James Proudfit at above church, Cambridge Village; Solomon W. was received into the communion of the above church 30 Jan. 1813, and was a trustee there from 6 Dec. 1814; by 11 Nov. 1816 he had left that congregation, apparently having removed with his family to Whitesboro, Whitestown Oneida Co., NY, where he died 6 Jan. 1818 age 29 years and was buried in the Whitestown burying ground; he had been a silversmith; she died ___.
