3. The Utah State online Burial Index lists a George Stone buried in Salt Lake City in 1862 with no birth information. Highly unlikely this is the right one, but there is always a possibility subject to further information.

4. From the Israel Barlow letter of 1853, Israel mentions that George Stone had two children buried in the Nauvoo cemetery near where Israel's son James Nathaniel was buried. One of these children appear to be named Mary. The 1850 census also mentions that George Stone had two children living (George and Cecilia), so this family had at least 4 children. I assume all of these children were to his wife Annis Jennette Barlow. Israel's letter mentions that George Stone had a grown son and he thought that was all the children Stone had. I checked the 1840 census and the closest I could find were two separate entries in Quincy, Illinois: one for George Stone and the other for George W. Stone. The ages of family members are not quite right on but not totally discountable neither. We know George and Annis Jennette Barlow were married in the Kirtland, Ohio area (2 Jan 1834 Portage Co., OH, per extracted temple record). I searched the Ordinance Index and it does not appear any of his children have had temple work.
MARRIAGE:
1. Online Ordinance Index FHL film 891357, batch M513341 (extracted marriage record for Portage County, Ohio from 1808-1841). Notes spouses as George L. Stone and Annis J. Barlow m. 2 Jan 1834 in Portage Co., Ohio.
2. Marriage records go way back in Portage Co. in Ohio. I had a look up volunteer check and they report the old books are very hard to read but it does show a marriage of Annis J. Barlow and George T. [note the "T"] Stone on 2 Jan 1834. It was also reported that there are numerous "Stones" in the 1885 history of Portage Co.
