Note: Nathan had a son named Zenas Briggs, b. 30 Jan 1753 at Dighton, Bristol, Massachusetts. He married Ruth Codding. They have 5 sons all born in Bristol Co., Mass., including the eldest who dies in Ontario Co., NY. Some Worldconnect sites show this Nathan, but they can only state that he married a wife named Mary ____. This fits with Mary "Polly" Gillett. Nathan and Mary have four children beginning in 1811 of whom the youngest is Ruth born in 1818 with whom we find Mary Briggs in the 1850 census.
