    • RESEARCH_NOTES:
      1. Today's Hampden County of Massachusetts was originally Middlesex County until it was split off in 1662 and named Hampshire County. Hampden County was formed from Hampshire County in 1812.

      2. Some Worldconnect databases show parents as Moses and Lydia Root. I have found an extracted record for a Margaret Root, b. 29 Jul 1770 at Westfield, Hampden, Massachusetts. I don't think these are the correct parents since it would have made her 34 years old at time of her death. Her death states she was 39 years old.
