Duane Adamson (Obituary)
Libby native Duane M. Adamson, 66, died Tuesday, Oct so, 1992, at Coeur d' Alene, Idaho.
He was born Jan. 18, 1926 at Libby to Gus and Clara Adamson.
He grew up in Libby, attended Libby schools and served with the US Army during World War ll.
Following his honorable discharge in 1946, Adamson returned to Libby to work for J Neils Lumber Company. He later worked for the Great Northern Railroad for 15 years, until he was disabled in 1961.
Employed by the Burns Security Agency during the 1970's, Adamson remained in Libby until moving to Coeur d' Alene two years ago.
He was a member of the local Veterans of Foreign Wars post.
Preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Richard, Robert and Edwin, Adamson is survived by a daughter, Ronda Smithson, Hayden, Idaho; Don Adamson, Coeur d' Alene: a sister, Donna Reed, Libby; three brothers,Darold Adamson, Chico, Calif; Ronald Adamson and Norman Adanson, both of Libby; four grandchildren, Chris, Tym, Jake and Amber; and one great grand child, Stepanie.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 pm.Thursday and until noon Friday. Services will be conducted at 3p.m. Friday at the Vial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Leslie Nelson officiating.
Burial, with Military Honors, will follow in the City of Libby, Cemetary.
