      Farmed near Lindsay, NE until retirement in 1966 when they moved to Columbus, NE.
      A QUIET SOFT SPOKEN MAN, HE USED TO BE VERY GOOD FRIENDS WITH HIS COUSIN, MY GRANDPA LEO. LEO BEING THE OPPOSITE, OUTSPOKEN, AND FRIENDLY APPARENTLY OPPOSITES ATTRACT. HE WENT ON A RUN WITH LEO TO IOWA WHEN PROHIBITION WAS IN EFFECT, LEO DRAGGED HIM ALL OVER FOR 6 WEEKS BEFORE RETURNING.
