3. FHL film 1013821 "Reorganized LDS Church Membership, Marriages, and Conference Notes," p. 20, entry 153, Salt Lake City Mission: "Frederick D. Rugg, b. 3 Jul 1843 at Bristol, Gloucester, England, baptized and confirmed [RLDS] 12 Jun 1870 in Salt Lake City by Thos. Leiz." Susan Easton Black's book of Members of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of LDS confirms same information and notes his middle name as "Dickerson." She also gives other sources as Early Reorganization Minutes: 1852-1871, Book A, p. 683 and 1872-1905, Book C; and RLDS Deceased Files. There is also a John Rugg listed born 11 Jan 1817 in Devonshire, England who may be a father subject to further research.

OBITUARY:
1. "Early Settler is Dead of Pneumonia. (Special to the News.) Murray, Feb 20. - D.F. Rugg, an early settler of Murray, died last night of pneumonia, at the age of 74 years. He is survived by his wife and six children, two sons and four daughters. Mr. Rugg was member at one time of the school board here and also took an active part in irrigation projects. His life was a busy one and useful and he was regarded as a strong and substantial citizen. Funeral arrangements have not been made." Deseret News, 20 Feb 1918.
