2. In the execution of father's last will and testament, this individual shown as living at Spanish Fork, Utah on 22 Jun 1889 and with name of Charles Alma Hales instead of Alma Charles Hales as shown on most Hales family group sheets.
3. Mentioned as living in her mother's obituary of Dec. 7, 1915: "Mrs. Hales was the mother of 13 children, all of whom lived to maturity... Alma C. of Spanish Fork..."
4. In brother James L. Hales' obituary of 19 May 1921, this individual noted as living in Spanish Fork and with name of Alma.
5. Three Hodson/Hodgson sisters married three Hales brothers.
BIOGRAPHY:
1. Mentioned in father's will per copy of partial probate record in my possession. It appears to be the last page of three pages and is marked "#269 Charles H.H." on the bottom of the page. What I have says:
"...described Real and Personal property shall become the property of our children my sons and daughters and be Equally divided barween them namely, Lucy E. Hales, Mary Ann Hales Brown, James L. Hales, Charles Alma Hales, Caroline E. Hales Woodward, Franklin H. Hales, Hormon B. Hales, Edward M. Hales, Joseph M. Hales, Richard S. Hales, Sarah J. Hales, Hannah P. Hales and Daniel W. Hales.
Fifthly, I hereby direct and order that the water rights applied upon the respective pieces of land heretofore, shall continue respectively as herein devised and bequeathed.
Lastly, I hereby appoint my wife Julia Ann Hales the Executrix of this my last Will and Testament.
In Witness whereof I have herenunto set my hand and seal this 22d Day of June A.D. 1889.
The foregoing instrument consisting of three pages was... [witnessed and noted with Charles residing at at Spanish Fork, Utah Co., Utah Territory]."

OBITUARY:
1. "Death Calls Alma C. Hales. Spanish Fork - Alma Charles Hales, 69, life-long resident of this city and well known as a builder and contractor, died at an early hour Tuesday morning after an illness of two months. He was the son of Charles Henry and Frances Brunyard Hales, early settlers of Spanish Fork. He was born here April 19, 1863. He married Susannah Hogson Hales and they continued to make their home in Spanish Fork. He served two years as city marshal from 1906 to 1908. He is survivied by his wife, five sons and six daughters, Alma Charles Hales, Jr., Magna, Utah; Earl Hales and Mrs. Sushannah Hales, Salt Lake; Eugene A. Hales, Springville; Mrs. Myrtle Bradford, Pingree, Idaho; Archie and Leo Hales, Mrs. Joseph E. Nelson, Ethel, Grace and Dona Hales, all of Spanish Fork; 31 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; four brothers, Ed. and Harmon Hales, Spanish Fork; Frank and Wells Hales, Meadows, Idaho; and four sisters, Miss Lucy Hales and Mrs. Corline Woodward, Salt Lake; Mrs Minnie Bates, Silver City and Mrs. Jane Waring, Dubois, Idaho. The body is at the Claudin Funeral home and friends may call at the family home after Friday evening. Funeral servicws will be held Saturday, Nov. 26, at 2 p.m. at the First ward L.D.S. chapel. Interment will be in the Spanish Fork city cemetery." Provo Evening Herald, Wed., 23 Nov 1932.
