2. FHL book 929.273 "Some Descendants of Michael Stoker 1731-1819," compiled by Kathleen Stoker Overton (ca. 2003?), pp. 64-66. This book does a good job of tracing several non-Mormon descendancy lines from the original immigrant.
"Jacob Stoker
Jacob Stoker was born 22 May 1785 in Frederick, Frederick, Maryland. His parents are Johann Michael Stoker and Anna Maria (Mary) Adams. His birth was recorded and he was baptized in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Frederick. He had some schooling as he could read and write. The family moved to Perry County, Ohio sometime after 1805. Jacob married Anna Maria Swinehart on 29 May 1823 in Perry County, Ohio. She is the daughter of Andreas and Salome Swinehart. The couple moved to Circleville, Pickaway County, Ohio where they farmed. Jacob's Father must have had faith in him as he was made administrator of his will over older sons. Anna Maria died on 7 September 1852 in Circleville and is buried in High Street Cemetery. Jacob died before 1860 and is also buried there. Many years ago the Mayor of
Circleville thought this cemetery looked messy with broken stones and it was difficult to cut the grass around them and so he had them all removed and put down by the creek that flows through the North end of the cemetery.
