      "Adams, Samuel, late of Greenwich, Apr. 7, 1747, the court appointed Abigail Adams guardian of Nathaniel Adams aged three years, and John Adams aged one year, children of said Samuel and Abigail Adams, page 306. Apr. 7, 1747, letters of administration on his estate granted to Abigail Adams, page 306."
      "Adams, Samuel, late of Greenwich, inventory taken July 16, 1766, by Joseph Husted and Benjamin Hildreth, and filed July 17, 1766, by his widow, Abigail Adams, now the wife of David Whelpley, administratrix, and distribution ordered to his widow, and children Nathaniel and John, page 236."
