OBITUARY:
1. "Mrs. Mary Ann Jensen Hales, 89, of Ogden, died Monday, March 1, 1982, in Ogden of natural causes. She was born April 25, 1892, in Milburn, Utah, a daughter of Hans Peter and Edith Cox Jensen. On July 20, 1909, she married Orval Woodruff Hales in Junction, Utah. The marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple on Nov. 15, 1913. He died Dec. 4, 1970. She was reared and educated in Junction, Utah, and shortly after her marriage moved to Ogden. She was a member of the South Ogden 14th LDS Ward where she was a member of the Relief Society and had taught Primary and Sunday School. She had been a counselor in the MIA and assistant organist for the Relief Society in Junction, Utah. Surviving are three sons and three daughters, Arval V. Hales, Los Angeles, Calif.; Frank A. Hales, Santa Ana, Calif.; Larry J. Hales, Pleasanton, Calif.; Mrs. Fay (Wanda) Hammond, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Lyle (Roene) Knight, Woods Cross; Ms. Elaine Hales, Ogden; 17 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother and one sister, Jay O. Jensen, Providence Utah; Mrs. Tally (Kisten) Evans, Price, Utah. Funeral services will be held at the graveside Thursday at 1 p.m. at Washington Heights Memorial Park. Friends may call at Lindquist and Sons Colonial Chapel in Ogden Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday one hour prior to services." Ogden Standard-Examiner, Tues., 2 Mar 1982, 7B.
