Rites Held For Mrs. A. J. Lawrence Funeral services were conducted Wednesday by the Rev. Richard Shapland at Seger Funeral Home for Mrs. Albert J. Lawrence, 88, who died Sunday at her residence at the Good Samaritan Center. "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Whispering Hope" were sung by Elaine Schorn, accompanied by Muriel Sic. Pallbearers were Gary Lech, Warren Kelly, Vernon Freouf, Vere Hickok, Dean Funk and E.C. McKay. Mrs. Lawrence, whose son, Glenn, owns Hoskinson's, an Atkinson clothing store. Was the widow of the late Albert Lawrence, who preceded her in death in 1971. They were married August 4, 1909 in Atkinson and lived most of their lives in that community. She was the former Caroline Rachel Bausch and was born on February 25, 1892 in Miller, S.D.' to Phillip and Rosa Schneider Bausch. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and Royal Neighbors. She is survived by sons, Guy of Sacramento, Calif., Glenn of Atkinson, Albert, Jr. of Grand Island and Allen of Texas; daughters. Jessie Waldo of Libbie, Mont. and Thoma Bentz of Garden City. Kan.; ten grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded death by four brothers, one sister, two grandchildren and one great grandchild.
