Joanne Waldo 62, Albion resident
Joanne Mae Waldo, 62, died Monday, July 10 at Pullman Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.
Joanne was born Nov. 8, 1937, at Libby, Mont., to Joseph and Annie Paulson Becker. She grew up and attended school in Libby, graduating from high school in 1956.
She married Robert Waldo on July 15, 1956, at Libby and they made their home there until 1960 when they moved to Seattle. In 1968, they returned to Montana, living at Troy, Mont., and then Libby. In 1978, they moved to the Palouse where Robert accepted a position at WSU. They have made their home in Albion since that time.
Joanne was a wonderful homemaker, wife and mother. She also worked as an assistant librarian while in Libby, and an assistant in the registrar's office at Washington State University. She enjoyed flower gardening throughout her life.
She is survived by her husband, Robert; three daughters, Patrica Wilson of Pullman, LaRaye Gwinn of Libby and Bobbi Joe Turner of Albion; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 14 at the Nelson-Vial funeral Home in Libby. Local arrangements are under the direction of Kimball Funeral Home of Pullman
