- RESEARCH_NOTES:
1. The booklet on the Frederick family by Mrs. Alida Reed of Gloversville, NY, 1957 (she died Dec 1966) with copies at the Montgomery Co., NY, Archives and a microfilmed copy on FHL film 1312457, item 4). Alida descends through Hans Jacob Frederick and Margaret Young: "Philip, b. 7 Mar, 1772, d. 30 May 1857, age 85; md. Gertrude Miller. Children:
Jacob, b. 8 Mar 1794. Sp. Jacob Frederick and Margaret Young (grandparents).
Hannah, b. 25 Dec 1797.
Eva, b. 29 Apr 1802.
Both Philip and his wife Gertrude (Gitty) are buried in Hillebrandt Cemetery."

3. The book "Compendium of Mohawk Valley Families," by Maryly Penrose, p. 282: "Jacob, b. 8 Mar 1794 to Philip and Gertraut (?) Friderich. LTC, Sa." [I assume this is Lutheran Trinity Church, but I am unsure was "Sa" stands for.]

These inscriptions were copied September 11, 1947 by Dr. R. M. Palmer, Former Fulton County Historian. This transcript can be found at the Johnstown Historical Society, William Street, Johnstown, New York. It was sent in to the Fulton County GenWeb site by James Morrison, archivist for Johnstown Historical Society and was transcribed by Linda Jasztal, March 8, 2000:
Ira Frederick. Died May 17, 1881. Aged 49 yrs., 1 mo. and 17 days
Dearest Ira though hast left us Thy loss we deeply feal; (sic) Tis god that hath bereft us He can all our sorrows heal.
Philip Frederick. Died May 30, 1857. Aged 85 yrs., 2 mo. and 23 days.
Gitty Frederick, wife of Philip Frederick. Died - - y 1, 185 - . Stone broken."
