612 CHRISTENING:
1. Accepting the premise that this George is the same George who married Jane Foster in Saint John Lee on 20 Jun 1762, then the following child may be their first child. This is from the parish christening records of Saint John Lee per FHL film 1068897 and it is the only entry for a George Charleton between 1705 and 1809 with the exception of two twins, Matthew andJohn, christened in 1752. The scarcity of George as a father in the parish and the fact that the marriage and christening coincide so closely seems more than coincidence. From my review of various parish registers of the area, it was not uncommon that a marriage would occur just prior to the birth of a child. In fact there are many illegitimate children also reported -- so the morals were relatively loose. The entry:
-Mary, dau. of George Charrelton of Wal, chr. 1 Aug 1762.

Charleton, Mary (I4688)

613 CHRISTENING:
1. Assuming that perhaps Mary Taylor was from Chollerton parish, even though there is no documentation one way or the other, then she may be one of these two children christened in Chollerton:
-13 Jan 1670, Mary, dau. of William and Elizabeth Taler.
-24 Feb 1678, Mary, dau. of William and Esebill Tayler.

MARRIAGE:
1. The marriage was duplicated in two parishes for reasons unknown:
-Haydon Bridge church (FHL film 991796): "1 Dec 1701, Wm. Muis and Mary Talor."
-Chollerton church (FHL film 252505): "24 Nov 1701, William Mews and mary Taylor of Haden bridge married."

BURIAL:
1. The burial records for Haydon Bridge church (FHL film 991796):
-"25 Sep 1721, Mary the wife of William Mewis of Haydon Bridge."

Talor or Taylor, Mary (I4731)

-4 Mar 1699/1700, Isabell, dau. of Michael Muis of Chester Wood. [The entry is written twice. On the bottom of one page it is very faint and basically unreadable following the date of 4 Mar of the previous entry with no day given specifically for Isabell - hence it should be 4 Mar as if it were dittoed. It was written again on the top of the next page as if the curate knew he done a bad job on the previous page, but it is with no day given. IGI extracted it as 5 Mar, but I see no number 5 with Isabell falling between 4 Mar and 6 Mar.]
