- RESEARCH_NOTES:
1. The book "Palmer Families in America, Vol. 1, Lt. William Palmer of Yarmouth, Mass. and his Descendants of Greenwich, Conn.," by Horace Wilbur Palmer, 1966, pp. 295-6, available online at https://dcms.lds.org/delivery/DeliveryManagerServlet?dps_pid=IE4559536 accessed 11 Dec 2016:
"TITUS4 PALMER, (David3, James2, William1) b. April 22, 1731 in Greenwich, Conn., d. --, m. -- Hannah Lockwood b. abt. 1733-4 in Greenwich, Da. of Joseph and (--) Lockwood of Greenwich (Lockwood Gen., 1889, p. 119).
Titus appeared in the tax lists for Greenwich for the years from 1751 to 1770. In 1751 tax list he was shown as a tradesman taxed at one pound. He was in the 1790 U.S. Census with one male over 16, being himself, one male under 16 and one female. On May 8, 1788, Titus Palmer of Greenwich deedÂed to Nathaniel Palmer of Greenwich land bounded by Denham Palmer (Vol. 18, p. 2). We have no record of children, but since he resided his entire life in Greenwich, we feel certain that the following could be children of Titus.
Children born in Greenwich:
Nathaniel, b. abt. 1750, bpt. July 11, 1760 (1st Cong. Ch. of Stam.)
Joel, b. 1752.
Edward, b. --. Lieut. in Rev. War from Greenwich.
Israel, b. abt. 1757"
