      OBITUARY:
      1. "N. B. Pritchett. Fairview - Napoleon Bonaparte Pritchett 67, sheep man, cattleman, and farmer died at his home yesterday, following an illness of five years. He was born in Lynn county, Missouri, March 19, 1863 son of Samuel N. B. Pritchett and Mary Jane Gillespie. He came to Utah with his parents in 1865 in a pioneer company, his uncle William Pritchett being captain. His father and family settled in Fairview. Shortly afterward his father was appointed a minute man to guard the town from Indians. The father went deer hunting in 1868 and Indians tried to capture him; he ran away from them but was hurt and died three weeks later. The mother was left with four children. At 17, Mr. Pritchett started to herd sheep for the Coop herd; he bought sheep with what he earned and soon had a bunch of his own. In 1887, Nov. 16, he married Olive Sanders. They had 11 children, nine of whom survive: Ronald and Melrose Pritchett Los Angeles; Mrs. Beatrice Budrasson of San Diego; Mrs. Lawrence Epperson and Mrs. Thelma Woodward, Salt Lake; John Frank Pritchett of Standardville; Mrs. Amasa Terry, June, and Sanders Pritchett of Fairview; his widow, a number of grandchildren, two brothers and two sisters also survive." The Deseret News, Salt Lake City, Monday, 9 Feb 1931.
      2. "N.B. Pritchett. Fairview - N. B. Pritchett, 67, farmer and livestock raiser, died Frieday at his home here on the first anniversary of the death of his son, Thomas Lee Pritchett who was killed in the Standardsville mine disaster. Mr. Pritchett suffered a shock upon hearing of the accident. He never recovered, his health failing gradually. He was born in Missouri, March 19, 1863, and came to Utah in 1865 with his parents, Samuel N.B. Pritchett and Mary Jane Gillespie Pritchett, settling here where he had since resided. He had taken an active part in civil affairs, having been a member of the school board, water master and a member of the city council. He was married to Miss Olive L. Sanders, Nov. 16, 1887, in the Logan temple. His widow survives with nine of their 11 children: Mrs. Loretta Epperson and Mrs. Thelma Woodward, Salt Lake; Roland N. and Melrose Jed Pritchett, Los Angeles; Mrs. Beatrice Budvarson, San Diego; Mrs. Burdella Terry, June Elmo and Sanders Pritchett, Fairview; Frank Pritchett, Standardsville, and 22 grandchildren."
