      1. Email dated 16 Mar 2018 from Marcy Kolic :
      "Attached is the marriage registration [see Family Search for image]. Translation is below. It appears this Hercenberg family lived in Kaluszyn. I have been unable to find others in Kaluszyn however.
      "It happened in the city Kałuszyn on 12/24 May 1877 at noon. Appeared Moszek Dawid Kligeberg,
      Kałuszyn district Rabbi and informed that in the presence of teachers: Szlama Podeszwa, 64 years
      old and Szlama Sarna, 56 years old, both living in the city Kałuszyn there was concluded yesterday
      at 7 p.m. religious marriage between:
      Kielman Oficyner, widower, 38 years old, son of deceased Szmul Chaim Oficyner and living Bina
      Oficyner, living in the city Kałuszyn and Brandla Hercenberg, virgin, 23 years old, daughter of Arja Leib Hercenberg and Łaja Gitla Hercenberg, living with her parents in the city Kałuszyn."
      There were 3 banns published in Kałuszyn district synagogue on: 23 April/3 May, 30 April/12 May
      and 7/19 May 1877.
      There were no obstacles for this marriage.
      Newlyweds informed they did not made premarital agreement and that their marriage was their own.
      . This act was read aloud and signed by us and witnesses, newlyweds are illiterate."

      2. Email dated 14 Dec 2018 from Marcy Kolic :
      I finally found Brandla and Kalman's marriage certificate and got it translated.
      It happened in the town of Kaluszyn 12 (24) May 1877 at 12 am. Appeared The Rabby of Kaluszyn District Moshek David Kligsberg and testified that the previous day at 7 pm has been performed a religious marriage between the Kelman Oficyner, a widower, aged 38, a son of deceased Szmul Chaim and still living Bina spouses Oficyner, residing in the town of Kaluszyn with the maiden Brandla Hercenberg, aged 23, the daugther of Aria Lejb and Laja Gitla spouses Hercenberg residing in the town of Kaluszyn with the support of parents,witnessed by the temple servants Szlyama Podeszwa, aged 64 and Szlyama Sarna, aged 56, both residing in the town of Kaluszyn. Three announcements of this marriage have been posted at this town in the temple of Kaluszyn District 23 Apr (5 May), 30 Apr (12 May) and 7 (19) May of this year. No claims were made against this. The newlyweds announced that no prenuptual contract has been made between them and that the marriage has been performed by mutual consent. This act was read to presented persons, and then signed by myself and the witnesses. The newlyweds are illiterate.
