“LOTHAIR II, King of Lorraine, 855-869, born about 835, younger son. He married, (1st) about 855 THEUTBERGE, daughter of Count Boso. They had no issue. He married (2nd) 25 Dec. 862 WALDRADE, kinswoman of Count Eberhard, of Alsace. They had one son, Hugues [Duke of Alsace, Lay-abbot of Lobbes], and three daughters, Gisele (wife of Godefrid, Danish king, Duke in Friesland; she was afterwards Abbess of Nivelles and Fosses), Bertha, and Ermengarde (nun). Waldrade died as a nun at Remiremont 9 April, after 868. LOTHAIR II, King of Lorraine, died at Piacenza 8 August 869, and was buried there in the church of San Antonio the Martyr.
