"Spanish Fork. - Funeral services for Mrs. Anabelle Hodson Hales, 72, who died Wednesday in a Spanish Fork hospital will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Spanish Fork Fifth Ward chapel Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by Bishop Byron Gealtson. Mrs. Hales was born in Spanish Fork, Aug. 14, 1872, daughter of Allen and Susanah King Hodson. She attended Spanish Fork schools and was married to Edward M. Hales in 1896 in Spanish Fork. Survivors include nine sons and daughters: Mrs. E.R. Simmons and Mrs. Harold Christensen, Salt Lake City, Kenneth E. Hales and Mrs. Willis Johnson, Springville; Mrs. S.O. Bacon, California and Melvin, Bert, Dwane and Max Bliss Hales, Spanish Fork; one sister, Mrs Ann Whalin, Arizona; 31 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the family home, 590 East First North St., Saturday after 6 p.m. and Sunday prior to services. The made their home in Mammoth, Juab county, 15 years where Mr. Hales was employed in mining. They returned to Spanish Fork to make their permanent residence in 1911. Mrs. Hales was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and was active in Relief Society work as a teacher in the Fifth ward. Her husband died in 1939. She is survived by the following sons and daughters, Mrs. E.R. Simmons and Mrs. Harold Christensen, Salt Lake City; Kenneth E. Hales and Mrs. Willis Johnson, Springville; Mrs. S.O.
