      “JUDITH OF FRANCE, born about 844. She married (1st) at Verberie near Senlis 1 October 856 ÆTHELWULF, King of the West Saxons, son of Egbert, King of Wessex, by his wife, Redburge. They had no issue. He died 13 Jan. 858. She married (2nd) in 858 ÆTHELBALD, King of the West Saxons, son of Aethelwulf, King of Wessex, by his wife, Osburga. They had no issue. He died 22 Dec. 860. She married (3rd) at Auxerre in 862 (before 23 Nov.) BAUDOUIN I Bras de Fer, Count/Marquis of Flanders, before 862-879, Lay-abbot of Saint-Pierre, Ghent, 870, son of Audacer (or Odoacre), King of Morins. They had three sons, Charles, Baldwin (II) [Count/Marquis of Flanders], and Raoul [Count of Vermandois], and one daughter, (nun at Laon). His wife, Queen Judith, died after 870. BAUDOUIN I, Count/Marquis of Flanders, died at Arras in 879, and was buried in the abbey of Saint-Bertin, Saint-Omer.
