      1. "Intermountain Obituaries. Robert Temple Simpson. Funeral services for Robert Temple Simpson, 85, retired railroad engineer, will be conducted in the Thirty-fourth LDS ward chapel, 311 North Eight West street, Sunday at 1 pm with Bishop S. Burton Newman officiating. Burial will be in the City cemetery. Friends may call at 260 East South Temple street Saturday from 4 to 8 pm and Sunday from 10 am until noon, and at the ward chapel from 12:30 pm until time for the services. Mr. Simpson died at his home, 170 North Ninth West street, Wednesday night after a lingering illness." Photo accompanies obituary, Salt Lake Tribune, Saturday, Feb. 18, 1939, pg. 28.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Hilma Simpson; three sons, John Simpson of Ogden, Joseph Simpson of Compton, Calif., and Heber Simpson of Venice, Calif.; five daughters, Mrs. Nellie Cheshire and Mrs. Clara Lamb of Los Angeles, Mrs. T. E. Ludlow, Mrs. Thomas Markham and Mrs. Wilford Stevenson of Salt Lake; four stepsons, John H. R. A. Wallace M. and Heber Lee Hales, all of Salt Lake; also 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Friends may call at 260 East South Temple Street until 8 pm today and Sunday from 10 am until 12 noon and at the chapel one-half hour before the service."
