      BIRTH:
      1. See Burial Index cited below.

      2. See obituary.

      3. Per undated letter to Family History Department [early 1990's] by Enid Beagley Willardson. She states Ancestral File is wrong in regards to her grandfather. He states to her: "I was born in Alton, Hampshire." He also states that the "T" in his name stands for nothing. "When I came to Utah and bought property and had to sign legal papers, I thought it would be nice to have an initial. It doesn't stand for anything." Enid further states she verified this information by correspondence from 1934 to 1945 with the minister at Farringdon Parish. He sent her transcripts of christenings, marriages, and burials, abstracts of 1841 and 1851 census, and gravestone inscriptions. Ancestral File has birthplace as 8 Jul 1850 at Newton, Hampshire, Eng. She shows 8 Jul 1850 at Alton. I will use 7 Jul 1850 [per above note on Nephi Ward records and Enid's conversation on place] at Alton.

      OBITUARY:
      1. The Times-News, Nephi, Juab County, Utah, Thursday, May 21, 1931: "Services is held Last Monday for Robt. T. Beagley. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the North Ward Chapel over the mortal remains of Robert T. Beagley, pioneer gardener and fruit farmer, who passed away last Friday evening, following an attack of pneumonia. The services were in charge of Bishop Thomas Bailey of the Nephi ward. The opening prayer was offered by Will L. Hoyt. The speakers were John Cooper, Bishop Albert E. Smith, President Albert H. Belliston and the closing remarks by Bishop Thomas Bailey. The speakers told of Mr. Beagley's honesty and integrity, and of his progressiveness. They stated that he was a leader in his line of endeavor, and was always ready to assist whenever possible in better marketing conditions and obtaining better grades of garden crops and fruits. The music was furnished by Clarence Warner, who furnished two vocal numbers and Mrs. Robert Winn, who rendered a vocal solo, accompanied by Mrs. Diane O. Booth. The closing prayer was offered by John E. Lunt. The floral offerings were beautiful and profuse. The grave in the Vine Bluff cemetery was dedicated by Cleon L. Memmott. For a number years Mr. Beagley was member of the Odd Fellows Lodge, and held various offices in that organization. The deceased was born in England on July 7, 1850, and emigrated to the United States when he was nineteen, coming to Nephi, Utah, where he has since resided. For many years he has been one of Nephi's successful truck gardeners and fruit growers, having one of the best kept and successful orchards in Nephi. He leaves two daughters: Mrs. Jane Bowles, and Mrs. Beatrice Douglas of Nephi, and two sons, Mayor Harry Beagley, of this city, and Egbert Beagley of San Diego, California, and a number of grand Children."
