      2. Ancestral File v4.19 shows father as Joseph Winkle Sawyer b. 1853 in Wisconsin. No mother shown but would have to be a Taylor judging from 1880 census. IGI and Pedigree Resource Rile for "BIRTH" shows Joseph Winkle Sawyer and Eleanor Roberta Petty; other entries show same mother but married to a James McDonald Hamilton as in a later marriage. Ordinance index shows father as James Mcdonald Hamilton and his wife as Eleanor Rob Sawyer [stepfather?].

      3. Mary is probably an older sister to Adelia Francesca Sawyer married to George Newton, the younger brother of William Albert Adair.

      4. Apparently one child was born of the short first marriage of William Albert Adair and Mary Roberta Sawyer: William Kenneth Adair, b. 1 Aug 1895 at New Harmony, Utah, and died 29 Jun 1945 at Montebello, California. The child does not show up with either divorced parent in the 1900 census; however, Mary's entry in the census shows she has one living child.

      2. Email dated 31 Aug 2016 from Coral Williams about Mary Roberta Sawyer and Adelia Francesca Sawyer:
"I am the great-niece of both those ladies. Their sister Eugenia Dorleski Sawyer was my Grandmother. My father was Joseph Corwin Raymond. Aunt Maynie (Mary Roberta) was killed as she and Aunt Ada (Adelia Francesca) were hit by a truck on the streets of Monterrey Park, Calif. in Sept of 1939. Aunt Ada lost her leg but survived. She visited us in Portland, Oregon in the early 1940s along with her grandson who was in the service, Army I think. My Memory is poor on this. Just wish I had someone to verify this but I am the last one standing."
