      1. "Hales - Dwane Hales of 575 E. Las Flores Drive, Altadena, passed away Jan. 2, 1957. A native of Utah, he was resident of Pasadena for the past 17 years. He was a mechanic in the Caltech Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Survived by his widow, Mrs. Beatrice Hales, his mother, Mrs. Sarah Hales, three brothers, Mont, Jack and Doyle, and one sister, Mrs. Irene Petersen of Utah, and another sister Mrs. Melba Hatten of North Hollywood. Funeral services Friday at 10 a.m. at Lamb Funeral Home, 415 E. Orange Grove Ave., conducted by Bishop Radditz and Chauncy Fish, Ralph Tracy will dedicate the grave. Private interment at Mountain View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers family requests friends to remember the American Heart Fund." "The Independent" of Pasadena, California; 4 Jan 1957, p. A4.
