      2. The middle initial "M" is from the Ordinance Index. Also shows up in burial notes of her son Abraham - see his notes.

      3. Mentioned in probate of "Abram G. Frederick." Photocopy of last will and testament dated 12 Feb 1830 on file with me. It was made in the Town of Barry, Orleans County, New York. He is a yeoman. Appoints his wife Adelia Frederick and Adam B. Hamilton as executors. He leaves one-third to his wife and then two-thirds of the remnant to "my only son Abraham C. Fredrick" and one-third of the remnant to "my only daughter Olivia N. Fredrick."

      4. The ancestry of Adelia Annis from the website of the Annis Family Association 10 Dec 2005 http://www.angelfire.com/mi/annisall/Charles.html#18. She is in the fourth generation. See website for other relatives - I streamline the descendancy to Adelia as follows:
"Charles Annis of Barnstable County, MA and his Descendants - First Four Generations:
First generation: "Charles Annis is often referred to as "The other Charles Annis," by many Annis family researchers. He has often been mistaken as the son of Abraham Annis {1668-1738}, Charles Annis 1692/1693. This is understandable as the two men shared the same Christian name as well as the same approximate birth date. It is beyond question that Charles Annis, grandson of Cormac Annis, removed to Wells, York County, ME soon after the birth of his first child in 1717. The birth and baptism records of his other nine children, born between 1719 and 1740 are all recorded at Wells and there can be little doubt that Charles remained in Wells until a year before his death in 1741. Charles Annis of Barnstable County was present for the birth of his seven recorded children at Truro during the period 1717-1732. There has been no positive record that Charles was descended from, or even related to Cormac Annis of Newbury... Charles Annis was born abt. 1693 in Barnstable County Massachusetts, and died aft. 1732 in Truro, Barnstable County, MA. He married Rebekah ___? about. 1717 in Barnstable County, MA. The birth records of the children of Charles Annis, and his wife, Rebekah, and some early tax records are nearly all that can be found concerning this early Annis colonist. Truro, Massachusetts is located in Barnstable County, and includes the peninsula leading to the famous Cape Cod area of Massachusetts. Charles may have later removed to Boston, as the Vital Records of that city show that most of his children are recorded as having been married there. In an inventory of the estate of Thomas Howes, found in the Probate Records of Barnstable County, dated September 12, 1700, a "Charles Annes" is mentioned as having been owed money from the estate. This may have been the father of the Charles that is the subject of this volume, but unfortunately the vital records of Truro, were almost completely destroyed in a fire. There may have been other children.. In the Pioneers and Taxpayers in 1794 of Newtown are found the names of Charles Annis and Charles Annis, Jr. This is no doubt Charles (3) and his son, Charles. Although Charles (3) was married in Boston, he must have returned to Barnstable County and was residing there in 1794. Children of Charles Annis and Rebekah ?? are:
      1. Napthaly Annis, b. Jan 6, 1717/18, Truro, Barnstable, MA. 2. Thomas Annis, b. Apr 2, 1724, Truro, Barnstable, MA; d. Abt. 1770, Truro, Barnstable, MA. 3. Rebecca Annis, b. Apr 17, 1726, Truro, Barnstable, MA; m. Daniel Mendon, Apr 10, 1746, Truro, Barnstable, MA. 4. Rachel Annis, b. Mar 4, 1727/28, Truro, Barnstable, MA; m. Josiah Newell, Nov 23, 1749, Boston, MA. 5. Charles Annis, b. Mar 16, 1729/30, Truro, Barnstable, MA; d. Aft. 1794, Newtown, Barnstable, MA. 6. Jonathan Annis, b. Aug 4, 1732, Truro, Barnstable, MA.
Generation No. 2: 2. Thomas Annis (Charles) was born April 2, 1724 in Truro, Barnstable, MA, and died Abt. 1770 in Truro, Barnstable, MA. He married Lydia Deane February 17, 1756 in Truro, Barnstable, MA, daughter of Thomas Deane and Lydia Cole. She was born July 7, 1728 in Truro, Barnstable, MA, and died October 18, 1772 in Liverpool, Queens Co., Nova Scotia, Canada. After Thomas Annis died, Lydia remarried, and removed to Liverpool, Nova Scotia where she died on October 18, 1772. She had taken her son James with her to Nova Scotia, but Thomas Jr. stayed in Massachusetts. Children of Thomas Annis and Lydia Deane are:
      7. Thomas Annis, b. Mar 4, 1756, Truro, Barnstable, MA; d. Aft. 1800, Cambridge, Washington, NY ?. 8. James Annis, b. 1762, Truro, Barnstable, MA; d. Jun 9, 1840, Brooklyn, Nova Scotia, Canada. 9. Lydia Annis.
Generation No. 3: 7. Thomas Annis (Thomas, Charles) was born March 04, 1756 in Truro, Barnstable, MA, and died Aft. 1800 in Cambridge, Washington, NY ?. He married Kate Colter. She was born in Ireland, and died Aft. 1794. Children of Thomas Annis and Juliette Colter are:

Oct 10, 1852, Burr Oak, St. Joseph, MI. 20. Nancy Annis, b. 1789, Cambridge, Washington, NY; m. ?? MOW. 21. Eleanor Annis, b. Apr 28, 1793, Springfield, NY; d. May 10, 1828, Ripley, NY. 22. James Annis, b. 1794, Cambridge, Washington, NY; d. 1871, Laphamville, Kent, MI.
Generation No. 4: 17. Alexander Annis (Thomas, Thomas, Charles) was born 1784 in Massachusetts, and died March 27, 1863 in Clarendon, Orleans, NY. He married Annie Curtis abt. 1799 in Cambridge, Washington, NY, daughter of Comfort Curtis and Rachel ??. She was born 1789 in Massachusetts, and died August 14, 1854 in Clarendon, Orleans, NY. Alexander was a farmer and removed to Owego, Tioga County, New York before 1800. In 1810 he was residing at Cambridge, New York again, but before 1820 he went westward again, this time to Sweden, Genesee County, New York. The area was at that time very much a wilderness, but he finally settled at Clarendon, Orlean County, New York, built up a good farm, and became quite prosperous. His brothers, James, Thomas, and Joseph had also settled on adjoining farms. Family tradition claimed that Anna Curtis was a sister of "old General Curtis." The birth order of the three eldest daughters is unknown. Alexander and his wife Anna are buried at Pettingill Cemetery, Clarendon, NY. Children of Alexander Annis and Annie Curtis are:
      44. Harriet Annis, b. New York; d. Byron Center, Kent, MI; m. Royal Palmer. 45. Juliet Annis, b. Clarendon, Orleans, NY; d. Ionia, Ionia, MI; m. Harrison Worden. 46. Sally Ann Annis, b.
