      3. Susan Easton Black, compiler, "Early Members of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints," (Religious Studies Center, BYU, 1993, copy in Family History Library in Salt Lake City): "Graybill, Brigham; Birth: 10 May 1844, Hancock County, Illinois. Brigham Graybill was bapt. and conf. a member of the [RLDS] on 15 Jul 1860 by E.C. Briggs. Sources: Early Reorganization Minutes, 1852-71, book A, p. 302."

      4. FHL book 929.273 P684pn: "Graybill/Stoker/Eller/Smith/Koons/Pitt Connections," by Norman E. 'Gene' Pitt, 1996, pp. 72-75: "Brigham Young Graybill, b. 10 May 1844, Nauvoo, Hancock, IL; d. Apr 1931; md. (1) to Anna Toshe; md. (2) to Theresa ___; (3) to Eliza Sumpter. Theresa was b. 11 Aug 1842, IN. d. 6 Mar 1900. Brigham plotted and named the town of Underwood, IA and convinced the railroad company to build a station there."

      BIRTH:
      1. Black's RLDS membership data quoted above which burial record confirms for year as well. Censuses also support a non-1840 birthdate.

      2. Undocumented variance of 10 May 1840 in the book "The Howard Leytham Stoker Von Dollen Family Histories," FHL 929.273 H833a, by Doris Lewis, 2017 So. 80th Ave., Omaha, Nebraska, 68124, pp. 90-91.

      MARRIAGE:
      1. Worldconnect and Family Search various databases report possible three unverified marriages arranged by me as follows; the first two seem credible to me but the third looks unlikely until proven otherwise:
Theresa Hamilton, b. 11 Aug 1842 at NY, d. 6 Mar 1900. M. 3 Oct 1871 in Potta. Co, IA. Censuses seem to confirm this. Marriage confirmed but date varies per FHL book 977.771 Potta. Co., IA Marriage Indexes 1869-1874": "Brigham Graybill and Theresa Hamilton 2 Mar 1872." Application was made 1 Dec 1871 per FHL book 977.771 V2p "Potta. Co. Marriages, Book A-B." James Hook in his book referenced below uses the same dates for Theresa ___.
Eliza East or Sumpter, marriage 25 Jul 1903 at Underwood, Potta., IA with Eliza East. Eliza b. Jun 1849 at Lawrence Co., IN to parents Hugh East and Rosa Hodges. 1910 census does show a second 7 year marriage. Marriage confirmed by FHL book 977.771 V22p "Index to the Nov. 1902 - Dec 1905 Marriage Records, Pottawattamie County, Iowa": "B.Y. Graybill and Eliza Sumpter 25 Jul 1903."
Anna Tohse; Pitt book reports last name as Toshe and as the first marriage to Brigham - however, the author lacks all the dates and documentation that I use and should not be considered accurate on this point.
