    • RESEARCH_NOTES:
      1. The birth age at time of death for Mary calculates for a birth of 13 Nov 1768. This would appear to be too early for Mary to be a daughter of the Isaac prominent in Dover Twp. at that time. Since Mary seems associated somehow to the Dover Winners per the quote below of Edwin Salter, this leaves her as probably of the same generation as a sister of Isaac Winner.

      2. I have seen reference in regards to Mary of "WP P 1574," which I thought was maybe a probate record. It is quoted as a source of death date for Mary Worden who died in 1828 at age 59. I followed up on this, but I am not sure what "WP P 1574" refers to. The probate in New Jersey is usually a number followed by a letter denoting the county. 1574M would be Monmouth and 1574P would be Passaic. I checked both of these probates at the FHL and neither pertain to Mary Worden. I further checked the statewide index of New Jersey probate testators and did not find our Mary in it.

      3. The book: "A History of Monmouth and Ocean Counties, Embracing a Genealogical Record, Etc.," by Edwin Salter, published 1890, p. lxiv: "Winner, Winnow - John Winnow's (or Winner's) house is named in a survey 1790 between North and Middle branches Forked River on main road from Goodluck to Egg Harbor. Jonathan Winer lived at same place at a little later date. Jonathan was m. to Sarah Predmore, July 28, 1800. His dau. or sister Mary m. Samuel Worden, who d. in 1812; she d. in 1828 a. 59 years. [George] King Winner of Toms River, a coasting captain, went West, probably to San Francisco, about forty years ago."
