    • RESEARCH_NOTES:
      1. Relationship of Amy as a daughter to Isaac and sister to Jonathan cannot be fully proved due to lack of available documentation in the early days of Monmouth Co., NJ, but there is no other scenario that works. The locality was very sparsely populated and Winner was not a common name. Stafford and Goodluck Townships were on either side of Waretown where many Sopers and Jonathan Winner lived. Hezekiah and Timothy Soper were business partners with Jonathan Winner in an incident during the war of 1812 wherein their boat was attacked at Waretown by the British. I checked the probate records for Hezekiah and Timothy Soper at the New Jersey State Archives and there were only inventories with no relationships provided.
There is a concern about the birth date of Amy Winner 16 May 1803. The other children of Isaac and Hannah were born from about 1778 to 1890. Isaac and his second wife Naomi who he married 27 Oct 1804 then had two more children in 1807 and 1811. Amy's birthdate stands separated potentially meaning there were other children born to Isaac and Hannah from 1790 to 1800 or that perhaps Isaac had another unknown wife to whom Amy was born.
